My bio

It all started with a toe ring and a prayer…

A dear friend of mine was going through a very rough, uncertain and unstable time in her life. Her world was falling apart around her, emotionally, physically, financially and relationally. I was at a loss as to how to encourage her or speak comfort to her.

As a woman of faith…I directed my thoughts to prayer for her and in my time of prayer I heard (not like an audible voice) but in my heart saying tell her “She is a precious Jewel”, and the scripture was Zech. 9:16.

“They will sparkle in the land like jewels on a crown”

That is exactly what I did, I made her this simple toe ring out of sewing elastic (by the way, was way too tight and almost amputated her toe) I have since changed my supplies and how to make a comfortable toe ring.

I took her out to dinner and gave her the toe ring and the scripture and shared from my heart… ”That no matter what you are going through, the Lord sees you as His precious jewel and don’t ever forget that.”

Well, after that night people started taking notice of my lil’ toe ring and wanted to know if I had different colors? I started to sell them to friends. Eventually it led me to small boutique stores and I placed my toe rings in a small shelf. From there I was asked to be a vendor in a small street fair.

Then the challenge came, people started asking if I made anklets, bracelets, necklaces, earrings. I had no formal training, but I tried my hand at it. Learning as I went, trial and error.

The story continues on as I still don’t see myself as a business woman, I have grown to learn the business side through my travail and uncertainty. I am still learning and will never stop as it is constantly changing, but one thing that has not changed…my heart to help others.

We give and support the freedomhouse.sf.org. A shelter for survivors of Human Trafficking right here in California. Our small part time employees come from diverse walks of life with stories of their own.

I never sought out to run a business. I simply wanted to help a friend. It’s in helping others is where I am inspired.

I hope that you follow our journey with us and that you have a story too…follow your heart and wait and see what happens. Love never fails.

Oh wait…there is a happy ending for my friend. Fast forward to today, she is happily married to the love of her life, has 3 beautiful children and living life to the fullest.

Who is it today that you know needs to be reminded that they too are a precious jewel? Maybe it’s you!

God bless
